Walter BRIGHT, of Bury St. Edmunds; bur. Jan. 25 1550/1. He was "wealthy, and a man of consideration." Name of first wife, mother of Thomas, not known. Married second Margaret ELWOLDE, Jan. 23, 1545. Children of Walter BRIGHT and his first wife (all married and surviving in 1550/1): John married Alice WALOT; Joan married Thomas CAGE; Katherine married Mr. BATT; Edmund married first Anne, and second Catherine COPSEY; and Thomas.

He was a liberal benefactor of Bury St. Edmunds, and after his decease the corporation procured his portrait - copied in 1600 - which is now in the Guild-hall." Married Margaret PAYTON, daughter of William PAYTON. Married July 27, 1554. Will dated Nov. 20, 1599. Henry GOLDSTONE - bap. Jul. 17, 1591, Wickham Skeith, England; bur. Jul. 25, 1638, Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA. Son of Rev. William Goldstone and Margaret. The Apr. 30, 1634 passenger list of the Elizabeth of Ipwich includes Henry Gouldson, age 43, Anne his wife, age 45, Anne Souldston, age 18, and Mary Gouldson, age 15. On Nov. 7, 1634, Henry was dismissed from military service at Watertown, MA. He received land grants there in 1636, 1637 and 1642 totaling 283 acres, the last grant made posthumously. Married about 1616.
Anne - b. 1590, England; d. Apr. 26, 1670, Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA. Her name is variously recorded as Anne, Anna and Hannah. She married second John GEORGE (d. about Jun. 1, 1647, Watertown, Middlesex Co., MA), who had been previously married and had minor children Robert and Susan (married Robert HARRINGTON), and probably others. The estate of John GEORGE was inventoried on Jun. 12, 1647, and presented on Jun. 29, 1647 by "Ann George, the wife of the the said John George."
